AWSCPA of Georgia to host a night of reflection celebrating its rich 35 year history of supporting women and enhancing their success.

The Georgia Affiliate of the American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants announces a night of reflection and celebration on January 12, 2017. The evening will focus on the 35 year history of the AWSCPA of Georgia by celebrating the hard work, experiences and memories of our members from founders to those new to the organization and everywhere in between.

The evening will include a reception, dinner and program honoring 35 wonderful years of the AWSCPA of Georgia; held at the Magnolia Hall in historic Piedmont Park, it will feature family style dining provided by Endive Caterers.

In recognition of our 35th Anniversary, the 2017 Legacy Scholarship is being given in honor of Varley Simons, Charter President and Founder of the Georgia Affiliate.

“How well I remember 35 years ago when our national bylaws were changed to allow local affiliates. My partner, Joanne Gorbandt and I got all the CPA members of ASWA together at our office and sent out invitations to all "women" members of the GA Society and a core group was formed. I am so proud that our organization is so active and strong.” - Varley Simons, Charter President and Founder of the AWSCPA of Georgia ga35

The AWSCPA welcomes the public to this event and is proud to offer sponsorship opportunities at various levels. Proceeds raised will be used to fund scholarships and initiatives supporting the continuing education and career development of female accounting students.

Businesses or individuals who become sponsors will receive a wide variety of public recognitions and other benefits, including admission to the event, drink tickets and publicity opportunities.
